Guthrie Ace Hardware, a Mead Lumber Company, seeks a Retail Sales Associate to drive sales and maintain customer satisfaction. You will help customers locate building materials, provide product information, and offer recommendations to meet their needs.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, stocking shelves, displaying products, and ensuring a clean, organized store. Candidates should have construction exposure, strong math and communication skills, and the ability to stand long

Qualifications

• Construction experience or construction sales experience preferred.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Friendly outgoing personality and strong customer service focus.
• Ability to stand 10+ hours daily and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs and provide appropriate product recommendations.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse to stock shelves and set up displays while maintaining in presentable in stock position.
• Maintain a clean and organized store appearance.
• Receive, stock, and price merchandise according to company standards.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a timely and efficient manner.
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
• Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to effectively assist customers.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
