Job summary

Mead Lumber’s Stockton store seeks a Store Supervisor to support daily operations, lead a team, and ensure excellent customer service. You will assist with sales, inventory, scheduling, safety, and payroll tasks while aligning with the Branch Manager to uphold company standards.

Responsibilities include front-desk service, returns, order tracking, HR-related tasks, and OSHA compliance. Strong hardware knowledge and weekend availability are required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Experience using BisTrack or similar software.
  • Excellent customer service with professional issue resolution.
  • Strong leadership and team-development abilities.
  • Highly organized, punctual, and dependable with time management.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor yard pick tickets and adjust in real time.
  • Review customer aging reports monthly.
  • Ensure orders are properly marked and completed in the system.
  • Track open orders and verify invoicing for pickups.
  • Assist with hiring paperwork and HR submissions.
  • Monitor UKG for system errors and time-off requests.
  • Process payroll tasks on schedule.
  • Maintain OSHA training compliance at stores.
  • Coordinate safety meetings and provide daily work direction.
  • Monitor staff performance and give feedback.
  • Train new staff and provide ongoing training.
  • Participate in hiring and candidate selection.
  • Address performance or disciplinary issues with management.

Job Summary: The Store Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the store while delivering excellent customer service and providing leadership to the team. This position assists with sales, inventory, employee development, scheduling, safety, and day-to-day operations while working closely with the Branch Manager to maintain company standards and contribute to the overall success of the location.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service and support at the front desk.

Accurately process product returns throughout the day.

Monitor pick tickets from the yard and make real-time adjustments as needed.

Review the customer aging report regularly and throughout the month.

Monitor the order system to ensure orders are properly marked and completed.

Track open orders and verify that picked-up orders are invoiced correctly.

Complete new hire paperwork and ensure timely submission to HR.

Monitor UKG daily for system errors and manage time-off requests.

Accurately process and complete payroll tasks on schedule.

Ensure OSHA training compliance is maintained at each store location.

Coordinate and organize regular safety meetings.

Provide clear daily work direction and assign tasks effectively to staff.

Monitor employee productivity and offer constructive performance feedback.

Train new employees on job responsibilities and provide ongoing training to existing staff.

Assist in preparing and providing input on employee performance evaluations.

Participate in the hiring process and support candidate selection as assigned by management.

Address performance or disciplinary issues in coordination with the manager.

Strong hardware knowledge required.

Ability to assemble grills, tools, and power equipment.

Assist in maintaining and operating the paint department.

Provide support and expertise in plumbing-related products and services.

Operate the register and assist as a cashier when needed.

Perform snow removal and assist with seasonal maintenance duties.

Serve as a delivery person when necessary.

Must be available to work weekends.

  • Highly organized, punctual, and dependable with strong time management skills.
  • Ability to operate a cash register and accurately handle transactions.
  • Ability to operate delivery vehicles as needed.
  • Must be able to stand and remain active on your feet for up to 8 hours a day.
  • Frequently requires extended periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
