Job summary

Sugarbush Resort in Vermont is hiring Retail Sales Associates for a full- or part-time seasonal role from November to the end of the season. You will perform merchandising and provide exceptional service to guests, using POS to process payments and assist with inventory.

Starting pay is $20 per hour, with opportunities to engage guests, learn products, and work with team members across departments.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Ability to meet federal, state, and local requirements for employment.
• Ability to pass a federal and state background check.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work at least 8 hours on your feet.
• Ability to function in and outdoors during extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to guests of the facility.
• Greets and receive customers in a welcoming manner.
• Assist the customer in finding the right product for their needs and desires.
• Know the product and services offered in your location as well as other Retail/Rental locations and the Resort as a whole.
• Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
• Responds to customers' questions.
• Work with POS and processing payments.
• Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Continually exceed our guests' expectations and create memories for both guests & employees, not only in Retail but as a resort.
• Work independently on ideas that are for the benefit of your location.
• Perform other duties as required by Retail Manager and Supervisor.
• Work closely with other departments at the resort to maintain consistency of product and pricing.
• Perform other duties within the Resort when needed.
