Sugarbush Resort is a year-round destination in Vermont offering skiing, riding, a renowned ski school, golf, dining options, and a premier Health and Recreation Center. Sugarbush is seeking a full-time Facilities Tech to join our team and help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of resort properties.

The role pays $22-$24/hour depending on experience and is a year-round, full-time position. You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and assist with event setup, with shifts

Qualifications

• Prior experience in building trades is preferred.
• Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in person, on a 2-way radio, and on the telephone.
• Will need a valid driver license, clean driving record and must pass a motor vehicle background check, as company vehicle use is expected.
• High School Education or equivalency degree required.
• Must be able to work outside for long periods of time in various weather conditions, i.e., rain, snow, wind. Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including snow shoveling in winter and preventative maintenance across all resort properties.
• Diagnose and repair problems with little supervision. The ability to work with other departments and have a courteous demeaner is essential when interacting with guests.
• Perform evening shift building rounds - check pool, mechanical rooms checklist, mitigate slip& fall hazards.
• Will also assist with special event set-up and breakdown.
