Job Details

• Job Title: Sales Associate / Material Handler
• Department: Retail
• Status: Part-Time, Flexible Hours - Monday through Sunday
• Rate: Hourly starts at $16.32

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate POS/Cash Register.
• Must pass a background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Effective communication skills with management, staff, customers, and donors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist.
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects like carts, fixtures, and furniture.
• Ability to operate a telephone.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive motion tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In a team environment, duties include:

• Greeting customers and donors, providing courteous assistance.
• Stocking items according to Salvation Army standards.
• Sorting donations and maintaining store cleanliness.
• Maintaining departments per TSA Merchandising Standards (Windows, Dusting, Cashwrap, Fitting Rooms, Bathrooms, Stockroom, Donation Area).
• Following POS/Cash Register policies.
• Ensuring safety standards and reporting hazards.
• Adhering to HR policies and dress code.
• Participating in store meetings.
• Working flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Receiving, unloading, and stocking inventory accurately.
• Inspecting products for defects.
• Maintaining donation area cleanliness and assisting donors.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
