Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Loves Park, IL is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate to deliver great customer service, keep displays neat, and help create a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

This part-time role offers $15 per hour for about 24 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided, with paid training on register, and access to benefits such as vacation, sick time, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide friendly customer service and create a welcoming store environment.
• Reliability in attendance and punctuality for all shifts as scheduled.
• Strong communication and teamwork to support store operations.
• Comfort with basic math and using a computer/ register system.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and move for long periods and lift/move merchandise as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.

• Restock merchandise and keep displays neat and easy to shop.
• Sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor.
