Job summary

AAA Club Alliance in East Brunswick, NJ seeks a full-time Retail Sales Associate to deliver outstanding service while driving memberships, credit cards, and insurance referrals. You will help members plan domestic travel, assist with car rentals, hotels, and travel packages, and handle peak call overflow for Roadside Assistance.

The role requires prior sales and customer service experience, solid communication, and comfortable multitasking across several websites and programs.

Qualifications

• Required previous sales and customer service experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging customers.
• Ability to navigate multiple websites and programs while multitasking.
• Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Up-sell and cross-sell AAA products (memberships, credit cards, insurance referrals).
• Assist members in planning domestic travel vacations (car rentals, hotels, vacation packages).
• Answer overflow calls for Roadside Assistance during peak volumes.
• Serve as backup in Cashiering, Tag and Title, and IDEMIA services.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.This position is eligible to earn incentive pay , with an average payout of $162.00 - $389.00 per month.Store hours from Monday–Friday: 8 AM–6 PM, Saturday: 8 AM–5 PM; 37.5 Hour Work WeekNo Sundays!Full-Time Retail Associates can accrue up to three weeks of paid time off during your first year.Location Address: 260 Rte 18N East Brunswick, NJ 08816What our Retail Sales Associates do:Consistently up-sell and cross-sell AAA products such as new memberships, credit cards, and insurance referrals.Assist members in planning domestic travel vacations, including car rentals, hotels, vacation packages, maps, tour books, and triptiks.Answer incoming overflow calls for Roadside Assistance during peak call volumes, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.Serve as backup by assisting in the functions of Cashiering, Tag and Title, and IDEMIA services if applicable.What you will need:Required previous sales and customer service experience, with an ability to drive results and exceed expectations.Showcase effective written and oral communication skills, essential for engaging customers and articulating the value of AAA memberships.Navigate multiple websites and programs with ease, demonstrating proficiency in computer skills essential for multitasking in a fast-paced retail environment.Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain with 6 months of employment.Basic geography knowledge is beneficial.High school diploma or equivalent requiredSatisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screening results including criminal, drug, and state and/or vendor specific screenings.
