Position Overview

Floor & Decor’s Sales Associates play a key role in continuously providing customers with friendly, accurate service and support in finding products to complete their project. Our Sales Associates contribute to a fast‑paced, safe environment by keeping sales departments clean and well‑stocked.

Essential Job Functions

• Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend our products, and excite customers about their purchase.
• Provide above‑and‑beyond customer service and exceed customer expectations when assisting customers.
• Maintain assigned areas in an in‑stock, clean, shoppable, and safe condition.
• Collaborate with management and team members to achieve sales goals.
• Process customers at checkout using the point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
• Process customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
• Follow established cash, check, and credit‑card acceptance procedures.
• Create price tags and merchandise signs; stock, tag, and display merchandise.
• Act in a manner consistent with the company’s core values.
• Demonstrate and understand compliance with the company’s safety processes.
• Answer telephone calls according to company guidelines.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed.
• Work accurately in a fast‑paced environment.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Knowledge of basic math skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
• Some positions may require completion of forklift certifications through F&D.
• Where permissible by state law, a drug test is required for heavy‑equipment certification.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

• Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally and 20–30 pounds of force frequently (or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly) to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Working Conditions

• Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
• Noise level typically quiet to moderate.

Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Pickup Hours

Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
