Retail Sales Associate – Floor & Decor

Floor & Decor’s Sales Associates play a key role in providing customers with friendly, accurate service and support in finding products to complete their project. They contribute to a fast‑paced, safe environment by keeping sales departments clean and well stocked. If you love to learn and have a passion for helping others, join us on our sales floor.

Pay Range

$16.02 - $20.90 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Connect with customers, inquire about their projects, recommend products, and excite them about their purchase.
• Provide outstanding customer service and exceed expectations.
• Maintain in‑stock condition of assigned areas; keep them clean, shoppable, and safe.
• Collaborate with management and teammates to achieve sales goals.
• Process customers at checkout using POS system.
• Process refunds and exchanges according to guidelines.
• Follow cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures.
• Create price tags and merchandise signs; stock, tag, display merchandise.
• Act in a manner consistent with the company’s core values.
• Ensure compliance with safety processes.
• Answer telephone calls per company guidelines.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed.
• Work accurately in a fast‑paced environment.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Basic math skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
• Some positions may require forklift certification through F&D.
• Certification to use heavy equipment may require a successful drug test, where permissible.

Working Conditions

• Occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
• Works in a quiet to moderate noise level.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

• Occasional lifting of 30–60 pounds; frequent lifting 20–30 pounds; constant up to 20 pounds.
• Requires use of hands and fingers for handling or feeling objects.
• Requires standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
