Job summary

Highway West Vacations' Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort in New Hampshire is seeking a Retail Store Clerk to assist guests, stock shelves, manage the register, and provide outstanding customer service.

This seasonal, non-exempt role requires a high school diploma (or working toward one), a valid driver's license, the ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for long periods, and to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Education: High school diploma, GED or working toward one.
• Reach/squat/bend/lift/carry/push/pull lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Dependable and adheres to scheduled shifts.
• Problem solving skills, excellent communication skills and customer service skills required with staff and guests.
• Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain guest and employee confidentiality.
• Strong work ethic, commitment, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Math aptitude and cash handling ability.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Providing Exceptional Customer Service ensuring the quality of standard is met.
• Maintain a clean and organized store at all times
• Keep the shelves and coolers stocked with product
• Utilize suggested selling techniques
• Cross sell other departments goods and services
• Handling guest inquiries and complaints.
• Provide guests with information about the park amenities, activities, and local attractions.
• Maintains open communication with all departments to fulfil guest and company needs in a timely fashion.
• Assist with other operational tasks as needed.
• Supporting the daily operations of the park
• Reports to Store lead.

The Store Clerk at Danforth Bay is responsible for restocking product, store sales, register duties including handling money and providing outstanding customer service to guests. The store clerk is also responsible for keeping the store area clean and welcoming.
