Job summary

Northgate Resorts in Oxford, MS is hiring for Store Staff to deliver outstanding guest service in our camp store. This is a seasonal, full-time or part-time role reporting to the Store Supervisor, with evening and weekend shifts common in peak season.

You will assist guests, maintain clean, well-stocked displays, handle cash/credit transactions, process items in the POS system, and help with inventory and displays.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Cash-handling and credit card transactions experience is useful.

Responsibilities

  • Assist guests in finding merchandise (Store Clerk).
  • Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and stocking levels.
  • Process cash, credit, and gift card transactions at the point of sale.
  • Assist with merchandise inventory and price labeling.
  • Support with displays and customer questions as needed.

The Store Staff is responsible for providing outstanding service to guests in the camp store. This is a SEASONAL, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Store Supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Store Clerk
    • Assist guests in finding merchandise
    • Ensure store is clean, neat, organized, and well-stocked
    • Accurately process cash, credit, and gift card transactions using point of sale system
    • Assist with merchandise inventory
    • Ensure cash handling procedures are followed
    • Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
    • Assists with:
      • Receive and check goods for damaged or missing items
      • Catalog items on the store's system
      • Create price labels for items
      • Stock shelves or remove items that are expired
      • Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records
      • Assist with the assembly of attractive displays for goods
      • Assist customers with questions
      • Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
  • Store Stockroom Attendant
    • Receive and check goods for damaged or missing items
    • Catalog items on the store's system
    • Create price labels for items
    • Stock shelves or remove items that are expired.
    • Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records
    • Assist with the assembly of attractive displays for goods
    • Assist customers with questions
    • Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
Education/Training/Experience
  • Customer service experience preferred

  • Upbeat, engaging personality, strong work ethic, and professional appearance
  • Cash-handling and credit card transaction experience
  • Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management
Essential Physical Demands
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Regularly move throughout the store
  • Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
  • Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, lift, etc.
