Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Identifies customer needs and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers. Works collaboratively within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives.

U.S. Only: This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the S.A.F.E. Act. This requires registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry. A criminal background review and credit history evaluation will be conducted, and restrictions on real estate agent capacity may apply.

  1. Takes a proactive approach in engaging with existing customers and prospects, assessing needs to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
  2. Engages customers to complete needs assessments, identify financial solutions, and recommend tailored banking options including investments, lending, and home financing.
  3. Advises clients on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance convenience.
  4. Supports customer transactions and addresses questions to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  5. Builds relationships within the community to grow BMO’s business.
  6. Ensures accurate data entry and lending recommendations, applying risk management principles to protect assets and maintain portfolio quality.
  7. Makes credit recommendations for personal and home financing, adhering to sound credit principles and bank policies.
  8. Works as part of a collaborative branch and market team.
  9. Probes customer needs, integrating marketing promotions into conversations for strategic advice.
  10. Organizes work to ensure accuracy and completeness, finding creative ways to personalize customer experiences.
  11. Contributes to improving the overall branch customer experience and business results.
  12. May work across multiple branches based on market needs with flexible schedules.
  13. Follows risk, compliance, and legal requirements to safeguard assets and maintain privacy.
  14. Maintains current knowledge of products, industry trends, and regulatory environment.
  15. Identifies suspicious activity related to money laundering and reports as required.
  16. Completes complex tasks within given rules, including handling escalations and analyzing issues for next steps.
Qualifications:
  • Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience with a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
  • Registration to sell investment products (Canada only).
  • Lending qualifications and designations.
  • Knowledge of personal and small business banking needs and solutions.
  • Experience with retail investments, lending products, and financial services.
  • Proficient with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
  • Experience in customer service or sales with a focus on personal experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, problem-solving, and creative response skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, and analytical skills.
Salary:

$41,715.00 - $67,000.00

Pay Type:
