Job Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifying needs and providing financial solutions.
- Collaborate within the branch and with BMO partners to enhance customer experience and achieve business goals.
- Act as an originator of consumer loans, requiring Federal registration and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Engage customers proactively, assessing needs and recommending tailored banking solutions.
- Promote digital and self-serve banking options to customers.
- Support customer transactions and grow BMO’s business through community engagement.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and risk management standards in all activities.
- Make credit recommendations aligned with bank policies and sound credit principles.
- Participate as a collaborative team member, contributing to the overall branch success.
- Understand customer needs and incorporate marketing strategies into consultations.
- Maintain accurate and complete work records, and seek innovative ways to personalize customer experiences.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the customer experience and branch results.
- Work at multiple branches as needed, with flexible scheduling.
- Follow risk, compliance, and legal requirements diligently.
- Stay informed about market trends, products, and industry regulations.
- Identify and report suspicious activities related to money laundering.
- Handle complex tasks and escalations effectively.
Qualifications
- Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience; post-secondary degree or equivalent preferred.
- Registration to sell investment products (Canada) and appropriate lending qualifications.
- Knowledge of personal and small business banking needs and solutions.
- Experience with retail investments and lending products is an asset.
- Comfort with social media, digital tools, and customer service roles.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Resourceful, results-driven, and team-oriented.
Compensation & Benefits
