Job Responsibilities

1. Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifying needs and providing financial solutions.
2. Collaborate within the branch and with BMO partners to enhance customer experience and achieve business goals.
3. Act as an originator of consumer loans, requiring Federal registration and compliance with relevant regulations.
4. Engage customers proactively, assessing needs and recommending tailored banking solutions.
5. Promote digital and self-serve banking options to customers.
6. Support customer transactions and grow BMO’s business through community engagement.
7. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and risk management standards in all activities.
8. Make credit recommendations aligned with bank policies and sound credit principles.
9. Participate as a collaborative team member, contributing to the overall branch success.
10. Understand customer needs and incorporate marketing strategies into consultations.
11. Maintain accurate and complete work records, and seek innovative ways to personalize customer experiences.
12. Contribute to continuous improvement of the customer experience and branch results.
13. Work at multiple branches as needed, with flexible scheduling.
14. Follow risk, compliance, and legal requirements diligently.
15. Stay informed about market trends, products, and industry regulations.
16. Identify and report suspicious activities related to money laundering.
17. Handle complex tasks and escalations effectively.

Qualifications

• Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience; post-secondary degree or equivalent preferred.
• Registration to sell investment products (Canada) and appropriate lending qualifications.
• Knowledge of personal and small business banking needs and solutions.
• Experience with retail investments and lending products is an asset.
• Comfort with social media, digital tools, and customer service roles.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Resourceful, results-driven, and team-oriented.

Compensation & Benefits
