Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Identifies customer needs and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers. Works collaboratively within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives.
Note for U.S. Applicants: This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the S.A.F.E. Act. A Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry is required. The Bank will guide you on registration requirements. A criminal background review and credit history evaluation will also be conducted. Restrictions on performing as a real estate agent may apply.
- Proactively engages with existing customers and prospects by providing needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
- Conducts needs assessments to identify financial solutions and preferred banking channels, recommending tailored solutions (e.g., banking, investments, lending, home financing, small business solutions).
- Advises clients on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance customer experience.
- Supports customer transactions based on traffic and needs.
- Builds new relationships through outreach, appointments, and community engagement.
- Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements during credit audits and quality checks.
- Applies risk management principles to protect assets and maintain portfolio quality.
- Provides credit recommendations for personal lending, including home financing, aligned with credit principles and policies.
- Works as part of a collaborative branch and market team.
- Understands customer needs related to banking and credit cards, integrating marketing promotions into conversations.
- Organizes work information for accuracy and completeness.
- Finds creative ways to personalize customer experiences.
- Contributes to improving the overall branch customer experience.
- Supports business results and branch performance.
- May work across multiple branches; schedule may vary.
- Follows risk and compliance policies to safeguard assets and customer privacy.
- Stays informed about the financial marketplace and regulatory environment.
- Maintains knowledge of banking products, practices, and trends.

Qualifications:
- Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience; post-secondary degree or equivalent preferred.
- For Canada: Completion of investment product registration, as applicable.
- Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
- Knowledge of personal and small business banking needs and solutions.
- Experience with retail investments and lending products is an asset.
- Comfort with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
- Experience in customer service or sales with a focus on personal experience.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
- Good verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, and analytical skills.
Salary: $41,715.00 - $67,000.00
