Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and redline retail lease agreements, amendments, renewals, subleases, and lease terminations.
• Prepare and maintain lease abstracts, summarizing rent, term, options, CAM charges, and tenant obligations.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle: intake, negotiation support, execution, renewals, and termination.
• Track critical dates such as lease expirations, renewal options, rent escalations, and notice deadlines.
• Coordinate with landlords, brokers, and outside counsel on lease negotiations and property matters.
• Support due diligence for new store locations, including title review, zoning, permits, and licensing.
• Review agreements with vendors, suppliers, and service providers for legal and compliance risks.
• Help ensure retail operations comply with consumer protection, advertising, and local retail regulations.
• Maintain a centralized contract and real estate database with accurate, audit-ready records.
• Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and filings under attorney supervision.
• Assist with disputes, audits, and compliance reviews by gathering records and preparing summaries.
• Develop templates, checklists, and reporting to improve contract and lease processes.
