Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Permanent Retail Property Manager. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in retail and commercial property management coupled with a firm understanding of budgeting and reconciliation. This role requires a high level of real estate knowledge, customer service skills, and excellent communication abilities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of retail properties, ensuring the highest level of performance and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of a portfolio of retail properties, ensuring all aspects are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets for each property, including forecasting and planning for future expenses.
  • Conduct regular financial reconciliations and prepare detailed financial reports for senior management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with tenants, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and repair contractors to ensure all properties are in excellent condition and meet all health and safety regulations.
  • Negotiate lease renewals and manage tenant turnover, aiming for maximum occupancy rates.
  • Stay updated on current market trends and real estate regulations, using this knowledge to enhance property performance and profitability.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote properties and attract potential tenants.
  • Handle any property-related issues or emergencies promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in retail and/or commercial property management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of real estate industry, including market trends and regulations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with tenants.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle property-related issues and emergencies calmly and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in property management software, Yardi and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple properties simultaneously.
