Massa Multimedia Architecture (MMA) is a multi-sector architectural firm with a strong presence in retail, mixed-use development, commercial markets, healthcare, and education (Pre-K through Higher Ed).

We are actively seeking a Project Architect / Project Manager with a solid background in retail and commercial architecture to support and lead projects across our growing national retail portfolio. This role requires a versatile professional skilled in production, project management, and design execution. A dynamic opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is client-driven, and passionate about shaping retail spaces across the country.

About the Role:

This role will focus exclusively on our retail portfolio – from big-box to national rollouts and specialty concepts. You’ll be managing both local and national projects, contributing to every phase from conceptual design through construction. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the architectural design, documentation, and delivery of retail projects
• Managing schedules, budgets, and production teams
• Interfacing with clients, consultants, contractors, and permitting agencies
• Overseeing site surveys, design coordination, and construction administration
• Mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices in retail design
• Maintaining a high level of quality control and assurance across deliverables

Who We’re Looking For:

You are a seasoned and self-motivated architectural professional who can own a project from kickoff to closeout. You thrive in leadership roles, communicate effectively, and understand the nuances of retail client needs.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of architectural experience with a strong background in retail projects
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; architectural registration (or in progress)
• Experience managing teams and overseeing full project lifecycles
• Excellent client-facing and consultant coordination skills
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willingness to travel for site surveys and project oversight
