Job summary

Krispy Kreme in Virginia Beach is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager to deliver a WOW experience for our customers. You will help lead a team, supervise daily shop operations, and foster a culture of teamwork, while guiding staff development toward future General Manager roles.

The role covers coaching, recruiting, training, cash handling, inventory control, and ensuring sanitation and proper equipment function.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of management experience.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Five years of experience in food service or retail.

Responsibilities

• Manage and build a team of customer-focused employees through coaching, measurement, and fostering teamwork.
• Assist General Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, onboarding, and dispute resolution of team members.
• Maintain knowledge of products and current promotions.
• Assist with in-shop accounting functions, including cash handling, reporting, counting, deposits, and inventory control.
• Ensure equipment and resources are operational for team use including production equipment, POS, retail equipment, drive-thru, and processing equipment.
• Maintain a high level of shop sanitation and cleanliness.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests by nurturing a culture where all people are welcomed and appreciated.
