Job summary

Golden Hour Designs is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead all stages of the production pipeline, ensure quality, and coordinate across retail, wholesale, online channels, and markets. The role emphasizes on-time delivery, inventory planning, and cross-team collaboration with leadership on launches.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years managing production teams, strong organizational skills, and experience with Shopify/Etsy/Faire.

Responsibilities

• Assign, prioritize, and adjust tasks daily based on deadlines, restocks, wholesale orders, and market schedules.
• Collaborate with leadership and other team leads on product launches, inventory planning, and production timelines.

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock or supply needs.
• Manage flow of products into and out of production efficiently.

Core Responsibilities

Production Management (35%)

• Oversee all stages of the production pipeline, from raw materials to finished products for retail, wholesale, online, and markets.
• Assign, prioritize, and adjust tasks daily based on deadlines, restocks, wholesale orders, and market schedules.
• Collaborate with leadership and other team leads on product launches, inventory planning, and production timelines.
• Ensure product quality and consistency across all platforms.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock or supply needs.
• Manage flow of products into and out of production efficiently.
• Troubleshoot production delays and workflow challenges.

Order Fulfillment & Customer Support (35%)

• Pack and ship orders across Shopify, Etsy, Faire, Free People, and retail outlets.
• Collaborate with the Sales, Service & Support Manager to handle customer inquiries, shipping issues, returns, replacements, and wholesale questions.
• Maintain order tracking, update internal timelines, and log notes in Shopify and spreadsheets.
• Support the Retail Operations Coordinator with inventory reporting and market prep.

Market & Seasonal Planning (25%)

• Coordinate monthly market schedules, product displays, and staffing.
• Plan for seasonal peaks, major launches, and inventory build-ups.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and adjust planning to meet deadlines.
• Maintain spreadsheets and systems for product tracking, inventory, and market prep.

Team Support & Mentorship (5%)

• Provide guidance, training, and feedback to production team members.
• Step in to assist production during high-volume periods.
• Refine and implement systems to improve production efficiency.
• Maintain brand quality standards and ensure adherence across the team.

Requirements:
