Job summary

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a part-time Retail Processor to receive, record, sort, and process donated goods. You will help meet production goals, maintain quality, and support a clean, safe, and organized work environment while assisting with merchandising and customer service.

The role involves processing donations, following Kaizen procedures, and cross-training to cover various duties as needed by supervisors. A flexible schedule and good teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail and/or stock handling experience preferred.
• Ability to listen to and follow instructions.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and independently stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.

Responsibilities

• Receive, record, sort, and process donated goods according to Kaizen and RAW/Outlet guidelines.
• Greet donors and customers with friendly, professional service.
• Meet or exceed production goals by processing merchandise accurately.
• Conduct Kaizen 5-minute drills and keep workstations clean and safe.
• Sort and organize hangers by type and follow processing procedures.
• Move racks and merchandise to the sales floor following merchandising standards.
• Follow inventory rotation and pricing procedures.
• Sort and place items into designated containers to support operations.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers, clients, and coworkers.
• Follow company policies and assist in other store operations as needed.

Job Title: Retail Processor

Employment Type: Part-Time / Hourly

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Retail Processor to receive, record, sort, and process donated goods through the Kaizen system. This position is responsible for meeting production goals, maintaining quality and productivity standards, and supporting a clean, safe, and organized work environment. The Retail Processor also assists with merchandising, customer service, donation processing, and other store operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, record, sort, and process donated goods according to the Kaizen system and all RAW/Outlet sorting and labeling guidelines.
• Greet donors and customers in a friendly and professional manner while providing excellent customer service.
• Meet or exceed production goals by processing soft-line and hard-line merchandise, accurately recording production, and supporting continuous process improvement.
• Execute Kaizen 5-minute drills and maintain clean, safe, and organized workstations and work areas.
• Sort, band, and organize hangers by type and follow all established processing procedures, including rubber banding shoes and other designated requirements.
• Move rolling racks and hoppers to the sales floor and merchandise products according to color, category, and established merchandising standards.
• Follow inventory rotation guidelines and established pricing procedures.
• Properly sort and place pulls, outlet merchandise, and recyclable commodities into designated containers, hoppers, Gaylords, totes, and other assigned locations to support aftermarket operations and minimize disposal expenses.
• Maintain a positive attitude when working with customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Assist in all areas of the production process, cross-train to support additional duties, and perform donation attendant, merchandising, cleaning, fixture and equipment support, customer service, and other duties assigned by supervisors.
