Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Tenneva Area, Inc. seeks a front-line associate to operate the POS system and assist customers and donors. You will be responsible for handling cash, credit card transactions, and following Push System guidelines to maintain the sales floor and inventories.

You must greet customers, answer inquiries, and participate in team meetings to improve sales, inventory management, and customer service. High school diploma or GED preferred; prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Operate POS system and cash register accurately.
• Maintain accurate cash and balance with cashier settlement reports.
• Count back and give correct change; follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Obtain tasks daily from Team Lead or Third Key Associate.
• Operate cash register, fax machine, and credit card terminal.
• Be a team player and participate in meetings to improve sales and customer service.
• Provide professional customer/donor service and greet customers and donors.
• Answer phones professionally and direct calls appropriately.
• Be knowledgeable about Goodwill mission and locations to answer inquiries.
• Follow Push System guidelines for merchandise placement and inventory levels.
• Assist in displaying merchandise attractively to draw customer interest.
• Complete cash settlement reports and other reports as directed.
