Ross Stores in New York is seeking an Assistant Planner as a learning role to build a foundation in planning. You will contribute to in-season and pre-season plans, support regional strategies, and help maximize sales while learning KPI drivers.

The position offers structured apprenticeship with a Planning Manager and requires a Bachelor's degree. Base salary is $70,000 with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Excel and retail math helps in planning and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review future plans based on historical performance and knowledge of future business conditions. Supports Planning Manager in creation of initial seasonal plans.
• Prepare hindsight analysis and collaborate with Planning counterpart at key fiscal points; Present performance recaps to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Propose recommendations to capitalize on opportunities and reduce risk for next season/year; influence product flow changes.
• Identify risks and opportunities by product and region; collaborate with Planning Manager on recommendations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to drive business through product or store specific strategies.
• Review higher product levels to validate the mix of assortment within a region using additional reporting tools.
• Modify system-generated Store level plans by resolving outliers and aligning to business strategies.
