Job summary

VENU+ at Memphis Zoo is seeking a Part Time team member to capture guest photos, assist customers, and operate POS systems in a fast-paced venue environment. The role emphasizes friendly service, accurate cash handling, and teamwork to ensure smooth operations.

You’ll work outdoors in varied weather, with weekend shifts, and opportunities to cross-train as a Cashier or Photographer while contributing to guest satisfaction and revenue.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with cameras, POS systems and basic PC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests.
• Operate a camera and take guest photos with good lighting.
• Maintain a clean workspace and report equipment issues.
• Operate POS, manage cash drawer, receipts and returns.
• Cross-sell and upsell products to meet sales goals.
• Stay updated on promotions and product information.

Responsibilities

• Exceptional customer service while greeting all guests with a smile
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively
• Operate a camera and take photos of guests at the entertainment venue, ensuring good lighting and angles/positions to encourage guests to purchase photos
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace and report any issues with equipment in a timely manner
• Operate a point of sale while maintaining adequate change denominations, reconcile cash drawers, sales receipts, and returns
• Cross-selling and upselling products with the ability to remain team orientated and meet sales goals
• Staying up to date on promotions and product information

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with electronic equipment, such as cameras, iPad, point-of-sale systems, and basic PC knowledge
• Professional customer satisfaction-oriented while maintaining an energetic and positive attitude
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Excellent communication with strong math and time management skills
• Open to being cross-trained, either as a Cashier or Photographer
• Flexible schedule/open availability especially over the weekends
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Reliable transportation
