Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of college preferred.
• Maintain Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician licensure.
• Possess National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or have 1+ year work experience and sit for CPhT within 6 months and achieve within 12 months.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and email/calendar apps.
• Proficient with internet and multiple pharmacy system applications.
• Strong customer service, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient questions about cost and availability of medications and supplies.
• Enter patient data into pharmacy systems for accurate charging and insurance processing.
• Collect payments and handle patient transactions.
• Coordinate with pharmacists and case management as needed.
• Assist in inventory management, purchasing, compounding, repackaging, dispensing, and sales.
• Contribute to quality assurance and safety initiatives.
