Job summary

Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR seeks a Retail Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations under supervision and assist with filling, billing and dispensing meds. You’ll provide customer service in a retail setting and coordinate with hospital staff for Meds To Beds discharges.

Requirements include a high school diploma, Arkansas tech licensure on hire, and a safety-sensitive role. Prior retail experience and knowledge of pharmacy law are pluses.

Qualifications

What You Should Know About theRetail Pharmacy Technician:

• Monday- Friday: Typical hours 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• This position is based within Jefferson Regional Retail Pharmacy

Job Summary:

The Retail Pharmacy Tech supports pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, by performing all tasks allowable by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy. This role assists the pharmacist in processes including filling, billing, and dispensing of medications. The tech provides excellent customer service and assistance to patients in a retail pharmacy setting. They will work with the Meds To Beds program to properly dispense medications for discharge patients by working with other hospital staff to ensure patients are getting proper care.

Retail Pharmacy Technician Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician Licensure with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy required upon hire.
• This is a safety sensitive position.**
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and communicate with others effectively
