Job summary

Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR seeks a Retail Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations under supervision and assist with filling, billing and dispensing meds. You’ll provide customer service in a retail setting and coordinate with hospital staff for Meds To Beds discharges.

Requirements include a high school diploma, Arkansas tech licensure on hire, and a safety-sensitive role. Prior retail experience and knowledge of pharmacy law are pluses.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Program preferred.
• Licensure with Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy required upon hire.
• Safety sensitive position.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to de-escalate situations with proper crucial conversation skills.
• Knowledge of computer programs.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medication safety, pharmacy law and operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports pharmacy operations under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assists with filling, billing, and dispensing of medications.
• Provides excellent customer service in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Works with the Meds To Beds program to dispense medications for discharge patients with other hospital staff.
