Assist pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care by performing technical duties in the pharmacy under supervision. Responsibilities include retrieving prescription orders, measuring medications, creating labels, maintaining patient profiles, handling transactions, inventory management, and staying updated on medicines.

Facility: Cobb Hospital

Core Responsibilities:

1. Prescription Filling: Data intake, prescription processing using pharmacy software, dealing with third-party payers, contacting physicians, and completing insurance forms.
2. Cash Handling: Processing transactions, using POS equipment, and end-of-day reporting.
3. Telephone Transactions: Providing courteous service and representing the pharmacy professionally.
4. Product Knowledge: Understanding pharmaceuticals and OTC items, proper preparation, and awareness of the latest medicines.
5. Other Duties: Ensuring confidentiality, compliance with regulations, inventory management, maintaining a safe environment, and report generation.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Pharmacy Tech and Registered Pharmacy Tech licenses, licensed by the State of Georgia
• Experience in retail pharmacy operations and customer service
• Skills in typing, computer use, communication, and lifting at least 30 pounds
