Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Aviation Line Service Technician for our new state-of-the-art hangar located in Burlington, North Carolina.

At Labcorp, you will be a vital part of a dynamic and growing Aviation maintenance team responsible for marshaling, tugging, towing, fueling, and servicing our aircraft fleet.

Your role reports to the Director of Aviation Maintenance and requires the ability to work accurately under pressure, following strict safety regulations, and performing tasks on and around complex aircraft on a time-critical schedule.

What to Expect

Working Conditions:

  • This position is based at the Burlington Alamance Regional Airport – KBUY.
  • You must live within a 1-hour drive from KBUY.
  • You will join a diverse and inclusive team of aviation professionals.
  • You will work in a new, state-of-the-art aviation hangar.
  • You will work with well-maintained aircraft to the highest standards.
  • Travel may be required occasionally for maintenance events and training (rare).
  • You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Uniforms are required when interacting with passenger flights.
  • You may assist with projects like manuals, SOPs, safety reports, meetings, etc.

Work Environment:

  • The hangar is an industrial environment with exposure to noise, chemicals (fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid), machinery, lifts, and aircraft operations.
  • Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with potential overtime.
Duties and Responsibilities

You will:

  • Service aircraft owned by the company.
  • Comply with FAA, OSHA, EHS regulations, and Labcorp policies.
  • Complete tasks efficiently, exercising sound judgment.
  • Coordinate with supervisors on servicing issues affecting flight schedules.
  • Collaborate with Flight Operations to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Complete required training and participate in the Safety Management Program.
  • Perform hangar, facility, and aircraft cleaning.
  • Maintain GSE equipment and perform inspections and reporting.
  • Assist pilots and maintenance staff as needed.
  • Transport pilots, parts, or supplies using company vehicles.
  • Perform aircraft marshaling, fueling, oil servicing, oxygen servicing (as authorized), and other duties assigned by supervisors.
  • Support aircraft launch and support ground operations for cargo and passenger flights.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • At least 6 months of relevant aviation experience (fueling, towing, parking, maintenance).
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Over 2 years of aviation experience.
  • Line Service experience.
  • Knowledge of LabCorp flight operations and scheduling.
Skills and Competencies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to understand technical manuals.
