Job summary

One Brooklyn Health's Brookdale Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist Manager to lead the Retail Pharmacy department, oversee daily dispensing, patient counseling, and workflow efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds NY State Pharmacist licensure with at least five years of retail pharmacy experience; prior multi-site management is a plus. Strong knowledge of 340(b) regulations and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Education necessary for licensure as a NYS Registered Pharmacist.
• Minimum of five (5) years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Experience managing multiple sites preferred.
• Knowledge of 340(b) plan regulations.
• Ability to work under strict deadlines.
• Proficient with electronic record systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily workflow regarding the receiving, filling and dispensing of prescriptions for customers in a timely manner.
• Develop staff to ensure credentials are current, policies and procedures are understood and monitor compliance.
• Manage costs and assist in development and management of the department budget.
• Counsel customers regarding medications and respond to patient questions to ensure satisfaction.
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain medication logs.
• Ensure accuracy of prescriptions via Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
• Interact with physicians to obtain information about patients and prescriptions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
