Qualifications

Three years working in a retail pharmacy setting to understand and manage all aspects of services provided, as well as laws and regulatory compliance relating to retail pharmacy services
Current Illinois State Pharmacist License. American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required within 90 days of hire
Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with department staff, physicians, nurses and other hospital personnel on pharmaceutical topics

Responsibilities

Organize and coordinate a staff of professional and technical personnel engaged in compounding and dispensing medications and other pharmaceutical supplies
Ensure day-to-day operation of the pharmacy and compliance with state and federal rules and regulations pertaining to retail pharmacy
Maintain medication records to ensure compliance and meet third-party payor requirements
