Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required.
• Illinois Pharmacist license is required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Computer literacy with Windows and pharmacy software preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Records transacted business and participates in formulary system management.
• Performs staffing pharmacist duties as necessary for department needs.
• Disseminates drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
• Schedules staff and handles pay/time related issues efficiently.
• Ensures security processes for medications across the medical center.
• Leads orientation, training programs, and continuing education for department staff.
• Reviews staff qualifications and competence in patient services.
• Implements and maintains documentation per professional standards.
• Collaborates with other department directors and hospital administration.
