Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, Indiana, is seeking a Pharmacy Leader to oversee retail pharmacy services and related regional programs. You will drive strategic initiatives, ensure high-quality care, manage drug utilization, and mentor teams across the system.

The ideal candidate holds a PharmD or equivalent with an Indiana license and at least five years in retail pharmacy, including management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy is required. Advanced or Master’s degree preferred (e.g., PharmD, MBA).
• Active Indiana Pharmacist License. Current vaccination certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a retail pharmacist. Three (3) years of pharmacy management experience preferred.
• Must be able to set and organize own work priorities and adapt to change; handle multiple tasks in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, oversight, alignment, and standardization for retail pharmacy services or assigned region/business line.
• Implement strategic and operational initiatives including new services, revenue enhancement, and expense reduction.
• Ensure performance excellence in quality, safety, service, affordability, and technology; oversee drug utilization management.
• Manage educational activities and provide subject matter expertise in assigned areas.

What You’ll Do:

What You’ll Need:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy is required. Advanced or Master’s degree preferred (e.g., PharmD, MBA).

Licensure/Certification:

• Active Indiana Pharmacist License. Current vaccination certification or willingness to obtain one.

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a retail pharmacist. Three (3) years of pharmacy management experience preferred.

• Must be able to set and organize own work priorities and adapt to them as they change frequently.
• Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles.
• This position requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity.
• This position may require potentially prolonged periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, sitting, bending, pulling, and pushing.
• Must possess the ability to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures.
