Job summary

The TGC Staffing is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge in Champaign, Illinois to lead daily pharmacy operations and a team of technicians.

You will review prescriptions, manage inventory, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain patient records, while delivering excellent patient care.

The ideal candidate has a PharmD license in Illinois, 5+ years in retail management, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Illinois Pharmacist license (PharmD) is required.
• Minimum 5 years of retail pharmacy management experience.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve prescriptions for accuracy and legality.
• Organize the pharmacy for efficient product identification.

Our client is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge

Description:

• Preparing and dispensing appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients, leading a team of pharmacy technicians and managing the overall day-to day pharmacy responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions:

• Review and execute provider’s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality
• Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster
• Maintain full control over medication inventory, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration
• Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice.
• Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient
• Maintain patient profiles and history of all activities regarding medications dispensed
• Keep abreast and stay current with HIPAA and Frauds Waste and Abuse credentialing
• Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures
• Responsible for ensuring that the Pharmacy and its employees are compliant with Federal, State and Local laws regulated
• Ensures that the Pharmacy and its employees are aware and compliant with local facilities policies
• Responsible for directing the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians, this includes providing input into performance evaluations and advising Senior Management of any behavioral and/or performance issues.
• Responsible for managing the Pharmacy Technicians schedules. This includes advising Senior Management of any request for leave of absences or medical accommodations.

Requirements

Required Education & Skills:

• Current License to practice (PharmD) in Illinois
• Fluent in the English Language

Experience:

• Previous leadership role helpful
• Must be able to utilize Patient Management System in the Pharmacy
• Min 5 years or more of retail pharmacy manager experience

• Use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
