Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead our hospital-based retail pharmacy operation within the IU Health Metro Region, located at IU Health West Hospital in Avon, IN. You will oversee daily operations, develop services for patient care, and collaborate with pharmacy and hospital leadership to drive performance and improve patient outcomes.

The role requires Indiana licensure, PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, and 5–7 years of pharmacist experience, with preferred management

Qualifications

• Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist.
• Requires Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy prior to 2006.
• 5 - 7 years pharmacist experience is required.
• Requires knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and narcotics.
• Management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinate the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy and its staff.
• Provides comprehensive medication-related care for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life.
• Acts in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals in the responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes.
• Assists the Director in complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
• Will assists in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives.
• Responsible for inventory management and the ongoing financial performance of the pharmacy.

This hospital-basedretailpharmacyis located within IU HealthWestHospital and supports the patient and employee needs for thegrowingcampusin Avon, IN. Inaddition to overseeing daily operations and overallpharmacyperformance, thePharmacyManagerwill work withpharmacyand hospital leadership to develop, implement, and enhance services to meet the unique needs of patients as well as patient care services provided within the facilities including Meds in Hand program to support transition of care for patients discharging. Additional ability to collaborate with peerpharmacymanagers across the state through the IU HealthRetailPharmacyNetwork.

Is responsible for assisting the pharmacy director with preparing and performing all activities involving the pharmacy and therapeutics committee. Assists the Director in complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Will assists in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives. Responsible for inventory management and the ongoing financial performance of the pharmacy.

This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday day shift with availability to round to evenings and weekends. Retail experience is required and preference to individuals with previous leadership experience.

Candidate Qualifications
