Responsabilidades

• Receive prescription orders via fax, electronic transmission, or paper.
• Read, interpret, and data-enter prescription orders.
• Process refill requests when requested by patients or providers.
• Adhere to safety and privacy practices to ensure quality care.
• May place drugs into stock, but cannot count, fill, or remove prescription drugs.
• Provide customer service in-person and by phone in a respectful manner.
• Triage requests and prioritize them.
• Ensure non-prescription stock is neat, in date, and stocked to meet the public’s needs.
• Assist patients in finding non-prescription medications and selling both prescription and non-prescription medications to patients.
• Refer patients to the pharmacist for consultation per pharmacy regulations.
