Job summary

Responsibilities include assisting customers in locating non-prescription items, handling cash transactions, and referring complex questions to the pharmacist for counsel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1-3 years customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, typing 35+ wpm, Word and Excel knowledge.
• Pharmacy experience and cash-handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive prescription orders via fax, electronic transmission, or paper.
• Read, interpret, and data-enter prescription orders.
• Process refill requests when requested by patients or providers.
• Adhere to safety and privacy practices to ensure quality care.
• Assist patients in finding non-prescription medications and selling both prescriptions and non-prescriptions.
• Refer patients to the pharmacist for consultation in accordance with pharmacy regulations.
• Provide customer service in-person and via phone calls in a respectful and courteous manner.
• Triage requests and prioritize them.
