Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Pharmacist license for WA.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Facilitates accurate, safe, efficient, and timely dispensing of prescription and OTC medications in accordance with regulations, including data entry, verification, drug utilization review, dosing/interaction checks, filling, labeling, and staging for delivery.
• Counsels and educates patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers on drug/OTC information per state law; oversees workflow of pharmacy staff.
• Consults with insurance companies to obtain prescription authorizations, follows up with providers on clarifications, handles customer service issues, and manages phone/register operations.
• Works with pharmacy staff to meet operational, financial, and customer service goals, including inventory management and reduced wait times.
• Maintains pharmacy surfaces, shelving, equipment, and flooring; responsible for opening/closing the pharmacy and shift-change duties.
• Maintains current knowledge of pharmacy best practices and participates in MTM and immunizations.
