Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Retail Pharmacist to partner with the pharmacy manager and deliver accurate, patient-centered care at the counter in a fast-paced, retailer-style setting.

You will verify prescriptions, counsel patients on medication use, supervise technicians, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining a welcoming, efficient pharmacy experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Pharmacist License (WA).
• Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS-CPR).
• One year of work experience in a retail pharmacy setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and safety.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and manage inventory.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Open/close the pharmacy and support shift-change duties.
