Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Retail Clinical Staff Pharmacist to float among our Retail Pharmacies and cover varying shifts to meet patient care needs.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy, Texas licensure within 30 days of hire, and at least 1 year of pharmacy experience. Sterile compounding and advanced life support certifications are expected for inpatient roles; strong patient counseling is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: BS or PharmD degree is required.
• Experience: 1 year of pharmacy experience or more.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Reviews orders for appropriateness and safety; documents interventions.
• Communicates drug information to physicians, nurses, and patients.
• Manages technicians and ensures accurate dispensing and inventory.
• Participates in clinical programs and quality improvement initiatives.
• Performs duties that may involve direct patient care and documentation.
