Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a Pharmacist to join the Retail and Medication Reconciliation team at the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care on East 74th Street.

You will review prescriptions in the Epic Willow Ambulatory system and process investigational orders following MSK policies. Provide patient counseling, med management, and inpatient Medication Reconciliation at admission and discharge.

Qualifications

• Must hold NY State Pharmacy license.
• 2+ years of experience as a pharmacist; hospital experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review and process take-home prescriptions in the Epic Willow Ambulatory system per MSK policy and state regulations.
• Review and process investigational orders following protocol and institutional policies.
• Perform non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous compounding as per guidelines.
• Provide patient counseling and medication management.
• Complete inpatient Medication Reconciliation on admission and discharge.
• Coordinate services with MSK departments and external pharmacies and regional sites.
• Maintain accurate perpetual inventory including narcotics and investigational agents.
• Assist with research study monitor visits and pharmacy inspections/audits.

We are seeking a Pharmacist to join our Retail and Medication Reconciliation team at David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care, located on East 74th Street.

Role Overview

• Review and process take-home prescriptions in the Epic Willow Ambulatory system as per MSK policy and state regulations
• Review and process investigational orders following corresponding protocol and institutional policies
• Perform non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous compounding as per guidelines and procedures
• Provide patient counseling and medication management
• Complete inpatient Medication Reconciliation upon admission and discharge
• Coordinate services with all MSK departments of patient care (including nursing, medical teams, discharge planning, outpatient clinic, pain service, Investigational Drug Service, patient financial service, and International Center).
• Coordinate services with main campus, offsite pharmacies, and regional sites
• Perform, maintain, and reconcile accurate perpetual inventory, including commercial, investigational agents, and narcotics
• Assist with research study monitor visits
• Assist with pharmacy inspections and audits
• Assist with copay collection using POS system
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• NY State Pharmacy license 2+ years of experience as a pharmacist, retail with hospital experience is a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills is a must

Hours

Monday-Friday between 8 am to 6 pm, Saturday-Sunday 8 am to 4 pm, rotating schedules Full-time 37.5 hours per week Weekend and holiday coverage will be required Hours may change based on clinic needs

Pay Range

Pay Range: $58.46 - $93.54
