Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is recruiting for a Retail Personal Banker II in Columbus, OH. The role trains through a 4–8 week onboarding program with rotations in Operations and Sales & Service, culminating in a certification for the Retail Personal Banker family.

The position emphasizes consultative sales, relationship building, and a broad product knowledge base. You will promote deposits, loans, and fee-based services, while delivering exceptional service and maintaining risk controls.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Sales experience to acquire new consumer and small business customers and cross-sell existing customers.
• Ability to analyze credit and financial information.
• Professional appearance and strong verbal/written communication.
• Understanding Retail policies and procedures to exercise sound judgment.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration via NMLS required at time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales to build a customer profile and identify current and future financial needs.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Use approved tools to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for financial reviews.
• Primarily focus on cross-selling to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
• Establish relationships with Business Partners to provide holistic financial solutions.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals and contribute to revenue growth.
• Guide CSRs on sales and referral processes.
• Promote customer satisfaction with professionalism and courtesy.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow risk management policies.
