GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Personal Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with existing and prospective customers. Responsibilities include processing teller transactions and working as part of the platform staff. The banker helps customers understand and address their financial needs by offering solutions across their lifecycle using our consultative sales and service process.

The role involves managing risk by following policies and procedures, acting ethically, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The banker identifies, assesses, manages, monitors, and reports risks, all while achieving results within the bank's risk appetite.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Create a memorable customer experience through proactive outreach via in person, phone, or other channels.
2. Use a consultative approach to uncover customer needs and tailor recommendations.
3. Maintain knowledge of products, services, and processes.
4. Collaborate with internal partners to meet customer needs and resolve issues.
5. Analyze customer financial data to ensure appropriate solutions.
6. Support customers in understanding and using current and new technology.
7. Process teller transactions adhering to balancing guidelines.
8. Follow the Bank's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other policies.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma/GED plus 6 months customer service experience, or college degree, or military experience.
• Ability to develop comfort with both new customer acquisition and deepening relationships.
• Professional communication skills.
• Business acumen.
• Sound decision-making abilities.
• Must register with the SAFE Act through NMLS at employment start.
