GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Personal Banker I position will provide an exceptional customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing long-lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. This role involves processing teller transactions and working as part of the platform staff. The banker will help customers understand and address their financial needs, providing solutions throughout the customer lifecycle using our consultative sales and service process.

Responsible and accountable for risk management by openly exchanging ideas, elevating concerns, and following policies and procedures. Always do the right thing for customers and colleagues, ensuring actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. Achieve results within the Bank's risk appetite by identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach in person, over the phone, or other channels.
  2. Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover needs and tailor recommendations, solutions, or advice.
  3. Maintain knowledge of products, services, and processes offered.
  4. Collaborate with internal partners to meet customer needs and resolve problems.
  5. Analyze customer credit data and financial information to ensure appropriate solutions align with their needs.
  6. Support customers by reinforcing the value of current and new technology.
  7. Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines.
  8. Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other policies, modeling ethical behavior.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma/GED and 6 months customer service experience, or college degree/equivalent military experience.
  • Ability to develop comfort with both new customer acquisition and deepening existing relationships.
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Business acumen.
  • Sound decision-making ability.
  • Must register with the SAFE Act at employment through NMLS.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Normal office environment.
  • Extended viewing of computer screens.
