Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is hiring for a Retail Personal Banker I in the Houston area as part of a 4-8 week onboarding program with rotations in operations and Sales & Service. The role focuses on consultative sales to identify and meet customer financial needs, including new households and cross-selling to existing customers.

The position involves teller responsibilities, risk awareness, and collaboration with banking partners, with the goal of transitioning to a Personal Banker I within the Retail

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Ability to develop comfort level with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer households and/or cross-sell to existing customers.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process and needs assessment to identify financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions.
• Proactively reach out to customers to set appointments for financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customer base and engage in outside sales activities.
• Collaborate with Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment partners.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals; contribute to revenue growth.
• Guide CSRs on sales and referral processes.
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality; uphold ethical behavior.
• Open/serve full range of Retail products; participate in loan and bankcard processes.
• Support opening/closing of Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed.
