Job Description

Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. The role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts knowledge, as well as the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and assist with DIY projects. The role includes sourcing parts from multiple locations such as special order, FDO, and second sources, and in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. This is a full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, and other support tasks
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance
  • Key holder responsibilities: task assignment and completion, safety oversight, and open/close duties
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Assist in store inventory processes such as truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock management
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, product facings, dusting, and parking lot
  • Provide DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installs

Essential Job Skills
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability across engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.
  • Fluent in English (Spanish a plus); effective communication with customers, peers, and management
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; write simple correspondence
  • Follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions
  • Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
  • Accurate basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, whole numbers, common fractions, decimals)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Compensability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Prior Experience

3‑5 years of automotive parts experience; proven sales ability with experience in customer transaction fulfillment.

Education & Certifications

Must have a valid driver's license. ASE Certification Preferred, but not required.
