Job Description

What is a Retail Parts Pro?

Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. The role requires expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive systems, and parts. Responsibilities include advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance for DIY customers. The role involves sourcing from various channels including special orders, FDO, second sources, etc. It requires in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. This is a full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services such as battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Perform key holder duties including task assignment, safety, and opening/closing the store.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assist with store inventory processes like truck put away, cycle counts, and back stock.
• Ensure store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, and parking lot.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.

• Effective communication in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Successful completion of the Parts Knowledge Assessment.
• Basic math skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.

Prior Experience

3-5 years of automotive parts experience and proven sales ability.

Education & Certifications

Must have a valid driver’s license. ASE certification is preferred but not required.
