What is a Retail Parts Pro?

The Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. The role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts. Responsibilities include advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance for DIY customers, sourcing parts from various channels, and maintaining in-depth knowledge of store inventory and processes. This is a full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
2. Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
3. Manage DIY services such as battery installation, testing, wiper installations, etc.
4. Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance
5. Perform key holder duties including task assignment, safety, and opening/closing responsibilities

Secondary Responsibilities

1. Assist with store inventory processes like truck put-away, cycle counts, and back stock
2. Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, and parking lot
3. Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs

• Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, parts catalogs, and procedures
• Complete Parts Knowledge Assessment successfully
• Accurate basic math skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organizational skills
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Prior Experience

3-5 years of automotive parts experience with proven sales ability and customer transaction fulfillment.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

• Valid driver's license required
• ASE certification preferred but not mandatory
