Overview

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our success. You'll engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales.

In this position, you will actively connect with customers, address their needs, and recommend products, services, and solutions. You will help create a vibrant sales culture, maintain visual and merchandising standards, and support freight and logistics activities, all while prioritizing customer satisfaction. Supporting a customer-centric environment, engaging with the community, and embodying Office Depot's 5C values (Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, Creativity) are essential.

Training in technology and print products/services will be provided, equipping you with the knowledge to assist customers effectively. You will apply sales principles to create satisfying interactions and contribute to business growth.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Customer Experience:
   • Engage proactively with customers to support a positive experience.
   • Promote sales of solutions, products, and services.
   • Stay informed about promotions, advertisements, and loyalty programs.
2. Store Operations:
   • Maintain store and print department appearance per guidelines.
   • Ensure proper signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation.
   • Follow sorting and stocking procedures, complete freight processes.
   • Organize freight sorting areas and manage inventory levels daily.
3. Print and Tech Knowledge:
   • Develop product knowledge through training and certifications.
4. Sales Techniques:
   • Adhere to company policies and support loss prevention.
   • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use technology are necessary.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read, count, and write accurately.
• Customer-focused, positive, and action-oriented with a passion for the brand.

Additional Information
