Overview

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our success. You'll engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales.

As a Store Associate, you will actively connect with customers, addressing their needs by recommending products, services, and solutions. You will help create a vibrant sales culture, maintain store standards, and support logistics and visual merchandising. Training in technology and print products/services will prepare you to assist customers effectively, applying sales principles to foster growth.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Customer Experience:
   1. Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer.
   2. Promote the sale of solutions, products, and services using the selling program.
   3. Stay informed about advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
2. Store Operations:
   1. Maintain store and print department appearance according to guidelines.
   2. Ensure proper signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation.
   3. Follow sorting, stocking, and freight processes.
   4. Organize freight sorting areas.
   5. Manage inventory levels daily.
3. Print and Tech Expertise:
   1. Develop sales skills and product knowledge through training, including certifications if required.
4. Sales Techniques:
   1. Follow company policies and support loss prevention.
   2. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to access information are necessary.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to read, count, and write accurately for documentation and inventory processing.
