Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a Retail Group Supervisor at Stratton Mountain Resort to lead frontline teams across multiple store locations. You will coach staff, manage schedules, handle cash and inventory, and ensure consistent service standards to meet sales goals.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, safety, and collaboration with buyers and managers to optimize merchandising. This is a full-time, year-round position with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of retail and cash-handling experience.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for coaching teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist retail associates during shifts and provide real-time feedback.
• Create and manage weekly staff schedules; verify timecards and payroll input.
• Maintain cash handling procedures, store security, and asset protection.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and maintain a welcoming store environment.
• Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training of new staff members.
• Oversee inventory counts, transfers, reconciliation, and loss prevention.
